CERTIFICATION CLASSES
Certification is a requirement for many professions and strongly recommended for babysitters, caregivers, or anyone who is a primary caregiver even if they are a family member.
An AHA COURSE COMPLETION CARD is issued upon completion of the class
CARD EXPIRES AFTER 2 YEARS
To maintain certification, you must be recertified
Why Do Cards Expire So Quickly?
The American Heart Association (AHA) endeavors to keep CPR performance standards and guidelines as up-to-date as possible. When CPR practices are modified to improve their effectiveness, courses are updated to reflect the changes. For that reason, and to ensure that people are applying techniques within the current guidelines, CPR certification must be renewed every 2 years.
Why Should I Bother Getting Recertified?
Even if you’re not in an occupation where certification is required, a renewal course gives you the opportunity to practice your skills and refresh your memory on the concepts and physical components of CPR. It also ensures that you’re applying up-to-date practices. Most importantly, it increases the odds that in an emergency situation you won’t be struggling to remember what to do and how to do it!
