Event Details
This class is intended for individuals with limited or no medical training.
Our medically trained experts carefully outline the most serious risks to your toddler, assist you in developing a high level of prevention, then work with you on the skills required to save a little life.
All of our staff are professionally trained and certified in accordance with the American Heart Association’s stringent guidelines.
This is an intensive training where we review common injuries and accidents that require immediate first-aid, including:
- Bleeding control
- Head injury response
- Fractures and other soft tissue injuries
- Response to poisoning
- Mouth injuries – teeth, tongue, etc.
- and much more
Students will receive crucial information on the basics of airway obstruction and instruction on how to remove an obstruction.
Included in the agenda is a discussion of what CPR is and under what circumstances it may be required, followed by a demonstration of the basic skills.
Life-sized mannequins are provided to each participant and the instructor will introduce various scenarios in which a person might find themselves.
Finally, we work with parents on updating their first-aid kits and other emergency response materials.
Each student will receive a Save A Little Life™ packet containing:
- A companion booklet with expanded First Aid information
- A poisonous plants chart issued by Poison Control
- Our Quick CPR Guide
- A Save A Little Life™ Resource Guide for professionals in the field of family safety and support
